We successfully conducted a seminar on our latest GNSS receiver, the GX2 Series, at Kanasugi-Kensetsu Inc. in Kasukabe, Saitama.

The GX2 is a series of versatile GNSS receivers equipped with advanced features designed to enhance the efficiency and productivity of GNSS surveying. Newly added functions include photogrammetry capabilities, laser rangefinder technology, and a Stakeout camera, offering exceptional support for surveyors.

Kanasugi-Kensetsu Inc. receives MLIT Minister’s Prize under the FY2022 Infra-DX Award

Kanasugi-Kensetsu Inc. (Kasukabe city, Saitama prefecture) was awarded the MLIT Minister’s Prize under the FY2022 Infra-DX Award for its achievements in road maintenance through construction work.
In doing the work which led to this prize, Kanasugi-Kensetsu made considerable use of the 3-D data acquired from the Z+F IMAGER 5016 purchased from TI Asahi.
By “insourcing” (acquiring in-house through use of a scanner) the 3D data, it was possible to detect potential problems early, thus reducing the need to backtrack, and improving efficiency.
The “Infra-DX Award” of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) was established to provide recognition of work in the field of infrastructure which makes outstanding use of data and digital technology in order to strengthen processes and efficiency in construction, reform the working practices and environment of companies, and improve services to the public.

Pentax surveying instruments used at children’s work experience event

In October, “Out of KidZania in Fukushima” was held at Fukushima Robot Test Field, in Japan’s Fukushima prefecture.

The Associated General Contractors of Fukushima set up an area introducing “The work of the construction industry”. This area allowed visitors to try three types of work experience: surveying, as well as riding on and (through use of a simulator) controlling heavy machinery. Over the two days, 83 people tried out these experiences. The “surveying” work used PENTAX’s Total Station and levels.
We will be happy if this experience encourages children to take an interest in construction and surveying.

12th Symposium for Application of New Surveying Technology

On June 30, 2022, TI Asahi gave a presentation at the “12th Symposium for Application of New Surveying Technology” sponsored by the Kanto branch of the Japan Association of Surveyors and held in Tokyo.
The main event was a series of lectures on using terrestrial 3D laser scanners at surveying sites. TI Asahi gave a lecture on the PENTAX S-3180V 3D Laser Scanner, including a general overview and examples.
There was positive feedback from participants, who were heard to say that they wanted to try using terrestrial 3D laser scanners, including the S-3180V, on site.

Ti Asahi has been certified a “Saitama Prefecture Diversified Working Practices Corporation (Gold)”

TI Asahi has received “Saitama Prefecture Diversified Working Practices Corporation (Gold)” certification from Saitama Prefecture.

Saitama Prefecture’s “diversified working practices corporation” certification system acknowledges enterprises that incorporate diverse working patterns such as teleworking, reduced work hours, and other practices that support their employees’ work-life balance.

TI Asahi’s main activities

The “Saitama Prefecture Diversified Working Practices Corporation” certification system comprises nine items for certification. TI Asahi met the criteria for the following five items, which earned the company a gold certification.

(1) Introducing unique activities such as telework, flextime, etc.
(2) Creating a workplace environment that is easy to work in
(3) Manifesting activities relating to working methods
(4) Actively promoting reformation of working methods
(5) Employees continue working at the company for many years.
